About the Opportunity

We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing software company specialising in warehouse automation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Based in Hagley, West Midlands, our client offers hybrid working, with the flexibility to work from home to suit your lifestyle. While this is primarily an office-based, full-time position, occasional travel to customer sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Systems Developer, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing core software systems. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Supporting and developing enhancements for existing applications.

  • Delivering development resources for both small- and large-scale improvement projects.

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line application support, working with internal teams and third-party providers to resolve issues.

  • Coordinating production releases and system upgrades.

  • Assisting in the transition of systems from development to live environments.

  • Maintaining documentation to support internal teams.

  • Using monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve system issues.

  • Occasionally visiting customer sites for implementation and troubleshooting.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in PHP and MySQL

  • Experience with VueJS or React

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in a similar role

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
