NPI ENGINEER REQUIRED IN STOURBRIDGE, WEST MIDLANDS!!

Jonathan Lee Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer in Stourbridge, West Midlands helping them to recruit an NPI Engineer on a permanent basis.

This is working a day shift pattern Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), and the salary is up to £40,000 per annum (DOE).

Anyone who has come from a heavy engineering / foundry / galvanising / castings background would be well received.

This would be a good opportunity for someone who has experience in the application of quality tools essential to New Production Introduction - DFMEA, PFMEA , Control Plans and process/quality auditing, as well as being competent with Microsoft Office packages.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate and communicate all activities to customers and stakeholders, including weekly status updates and pre-production kick-offs.
  • Drive cross-functional action plans to prioritize improvements and embed a right-first-time approach in product development and prototype manufacture.
  • Project manage the quality aspects of NPI and prototype manufacture, applying quality tools essential to New Production Introduction.
  • Monitor the quality level of outgoing shipments and support projects for yield improvement and reduction of non-value-added work.
  • Develop and maintain QC systems according to quality management standards, producing monthly reports on defects and improvement plans.
  • Employ improvements in safety, efficiency, utilisation, and housekeeping, implementing best practice solutions to optimise yield.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with quality operations like PPAP, APQP, and equivalent quality tools.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and confidence in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
