Job Title: Engineering Apprentice
Location: Stourbridge
Pay Rates: 13.00 per hour
Shift Patterns: 11:30-22:00 Monday to Thursday

Join a team of mechanical and electrical engineers to learn hands-on skills that keep high-performance manufacturing equipment running at its best. You'll work across two plants producing top-quality ductile iron and steel castings for turbo, manifold, and engineering sectors. Working on parts to maintain their reputation for excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:
- To ensure everyone is working in a safe environment.
- Regular checks and maintenance moulding boxes
- Understand written instructions and comply with company processes and procedures.
- Work independently and on own initiative.
- Complete tasks set by supervision or management in a timely manner.
- Assist in engineering projects when possible.
- Collating data, conducting research and information to assist problem solving.
- Read review and understand technical drawings.
- Participate in training and follow instructions relating to installation, maintenance, testing and repairing of manufacturing equipment.
- Undertake fault diagnosis and repair in a heavy engineering foundry environment.
- Participate in risk assessments within the engineering department.
- Participate in pre-use and safety checks.
- Maintain tools in clean, safe condition. Stow tools and equipment in an organised method
- Maintain general housekeeping, cleanliness of working areas.
- Collating data, conducting research and information to assist problem solving, overall strategies.
- Participate in a philosophy of continuous improvement.
Qualification/experience
- Confident team player with a strong work ethic and a positive can-do attitude.
- Keen to learn and progress.
- Experience in a Foundry is preferred but not necessary.
- Experience in Manufacturing is required.
- Flexibility will be required for this role.
- Must be computer literate.
