 Ford & Stanley Talentwise are on the lookout for passionate and driven rolling stock technicians with experience of fault finding and diagnostics to help monitor a fleet of trains whilst they travel the network.  

Shift Patterns / Hours:

  • Shifts: Earlies and  Lates

Contract Length: 6 months +

Location: Stourbridge

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ride with drivers to assist with technical issues, isolate subsystems, diagnose faults, and advise if the train can continue or must return to depot.
  • Requires strong rolling stock knowledge, and the ability to quickly learn fleet-specific systems,
  • You must be able to read technical documentation and be able to use train control/monitoring systems. 

The Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and have strong rolling stock knowledge and experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or relevant professional experience 
  • Must be able to learn new systems
  • An ability to read and understand technical documentation, schematics, and operation manuals
  • Be familiar with remote technical support and following instructions under pressure
