Workchain is currently seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client in Stourport on Severn on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Quality Manager this positions primary responsibility is to support the operations, ensuring relevant quality standards are in place for the business and employees and that operational procedures meet these standards.

Immediate interviews and starts are available.

The role will be working on a Monday to Friday basis, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, audit and update internal quality systems based on ISO9001, ISO14001 requirements
  • Support the implementation of quality processes and standards across the business
  • Work with internal teams to investigate customer complaints and support where needed
  • Gather and collate data to support the preparation of statistical reports
  • Monitor the effectiveness of process improvements introduced
  • Put forward suggestions for change or improvement to processes
  • Support any local quality based training requirements
  • Engage in sustainability activities and put forward ideas to improve sustainability
  • Support supply chain audit practices
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met and followed
  • Provide training and guidance to production operatives

Key Experience:

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO14001
  • Knowledge and experience of quality tools and process improvement
  • Have an experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally plastic extrusions
  • Ability to apply and implement efficient processes

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds or MVQ / BTEC in Engineering
  • Quality management qualifications

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00pm.

The starting salary is 40kpa, with excellent company benefits.
