Your new companyThis is a growing business working within the construction industry in Woolpit, Suffolk.

Your new roleThis is a newly created Accounts Assistant job, joining an experienced and friendly accounts team. You will be supporting the Senior Accounts Assistant with varied duties which include but are not limited to:

  • Processing sales invoices
  • Reconciling delivery notes to purchase/ sales invoices received
  • Process supplier invoices, set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details
  • Reconcile supplier statements to Sage accounts and make the payments
  • Process business expense returns, petty cash/credit card
  • Update the cash book daily, and monthly bank statements reconciliation
  • Payment allocations on Sage 200
  • Payroll
  • Assist with credit control, payment applications and final account reconciliations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous purchase/sales ledger experience
  • An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel. Knowledge of Sage highly beneficial
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to monthly deadlines
