The Chemical Operator plays a crucial role in the day-to-day manufacturing processes. This position involves utilizing a batch sheet process to manufacture fine chemicals used in essential products such as vital medicines and 4K LED televisions.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Operate equipment and follow processes according to batch sheet specifications to produce fine chemicals.
- Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports of production and other data.
- Adhere to safety protocols and handle materials safely, especially when working with potentially hazardous chemicals.
- Troubleshoot issues with production equipment and processes to ensure efficient operation.
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Office 365.
- Understanding of the hazards and safety protocols when working with potentially hazardous chemicals, atmospheres, and materials, including explosive atmospheres.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- A Chemistry related degree or other degree in a relevant field of study.
- 3-5 years industrial experience in fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacture.
