SEN Teacher - Learning Difficulties - Bury St EdmundsREED Education are proud to be working with a variety of SEN schools across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. We work closely with a fantastic school, located in the Centre of Bury St Edmunds, who are now looking for a committed teacher, to join their team from September 2025. 

About the School:

  • Specialist school that caters for children and young people with learning difficulties and/or medical needs
  • Caters for children of early years, primary and secondary ages
  • Provides bespoke educational programme, tailored to the children's individual needs
  • Purpose built, modern building with all necessary technology and equipment to be able to support the needs and requirements of all children
  • Each classroom has its own outdoor space accessible by wide glass doors

The Role:

  • Provide quality teaching and learning as a class teacher, leading to pupils making good to outstanding progress
  • Working closely with a teams of teaching assistants; providing guidance and direction where needed
  • Full-time and permanent
  • MPS/UPS + SEN allowance
  • Opportunities to progress into senior leadership positions
  • Liaising with families/carers/third party agencies

We are looking for teachers who:

  • Have experience in working in special education, particularly with learning difficulties
  • Have expertise in areas such as SCERTS, Makaton, PECs
  • Desire to have a genuine positive impact of vulnerable children's lives
  • Have a passion and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Can work in collaboration with other staff members to achieve a common goal
