We have the pleasure of working with our manufacturing client who are based in Debenham who are looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator who has previous experience in this area.
Firstly, our client is a super family run business who have grown somewhat over the past few years, and become a leading specialist in their area of manufacturing.
The role:
Logistics Co-Ordinator Purpose
To organise all UK, Export and courier shipments. To be the first point of contact for customers with regards to shipping and delivery dates. Assisting with admin tasks, including but not limited to, replying to customers for delivery dates, organising delivery paperwork and returned POD鈥檚, delivery pictures and van check sheets. Assisting delivery drivers where needed.
Main duties & Responsibilities
路 Monitoring Logistics inbox and being first port of contact to deal with emails in - as well as personal inbox
路 Generating pack lists and commercial invoices and sending these to customers and freight forwarders
路 Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls
路 Reaching out for Freight quotes for quotations & live orders
路 Organising collections of export orders
路 Working with Production Department to give customers delivery updates
路 Weekly and monthly reports to customers where required
路 Overseeing container collections as and when required
路 Arranging collection of courier shipments and booking these out with couriers
Skills
路 Good communication skills both verbally and written
路 Good organisation skills
路 Ability to prioritise own workload
路 Experienced with Microsoft Office
路 Minimum of 2 years Logistics/ Transport experience
路 Sage 200 experience desirable
