We are currently searching for an experienced working as part of our clients friendly and experienced team in their well equipped workshop. Based on the outskirts of Stowmarket, the company has a well established reputation for producing high end products to their construction clients.

Previous experience is desired, especially with milling experience. They may consider training candidates who can demonstrate genuine aptitude to succeed in this demanding role. The right candidate will have an affinity for working with natural wood, along with a careful and accurate approach. You will work safely and confidently while using and maintaining traditional woodworking machinery. A good work ethic and a can-do approach are essential.

ROLE:

  • Good attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and master the running of wood machines
  • Prepare and load raw materials on to the machine
  • Study technical drawings to ensure components are being made to the correct specifications
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
  • General Housekeeping of area working in
  • Working closely with the Mill Manager and keeping them informed of any issues
  • Any other duties the Company may ask you to perform
  • Working to the high level of quality expected within the Department.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Company Quality and Environment Procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with all Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures

Your own transport is essential due to the location of the companies workshop.
