BDS are currently looking to recruit a Standards and Specification Lead to work with our Housing client based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The successful candidate willdesign standards and specifications acrossnew builds, capital investment programmes and refurbishment of later living schemes.
Your role will include;
Evaluating and selecting appropriate materials, products, and systems based on performance, cost, and sustainability criteria.
Offering guidance and support to project teams on technical matters related to design standards and specifications and materials including delivery and procurement
To carefully consider the commercial viability and procurement routes of all items within the Specification proposals, with all recommendations accompanied by benchmarking and costings and are fully compliant with the Procurement Act. Liaising with Development and Group colleagues, as necessary.
To conduct a periodic review of the Development and Group Standards and Specifications to ensure best value and quality for our customers.
Engaging with stakeholders to understand their goals and connect with all parties involved.
You must have proven technical specification knowledge and experience in the housebuilding and / or housing sector for at least 5 years.
