Your new companyHays Education is proud to support schools across South Warwickshire. We're currently seeking experienced and patient EYFS Teaching Assistants for roles in Stratford-upon-Avon. Your new roleYou'll support Reception-aged children in a classroom setting, working closely with the class teacher. You'll need to be confident with child-led learning, adaptable, and able to support both in-class and small group activities. Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting learning through play and structured activities
- Updating Learning Journals for key children
- Creating a stimulating classroom environment
- Delivering phonics interventions (e.g. Jolly Phonics, Read Write Inc.)
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 40 days of transferable child-based experience (paid or voluntary)
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- Familiarity with phonics frameworks
- A nurturing, flexible, and team-oriented approach
- Confidence in giving feedback to teachers on pupil progress
