Smart Education is recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs. This is a full-time permanent role beginning in January 2025.

Job Requirements:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN
• Positive, calm, and adaptable approach
• Able to follow individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Role Responsibilities:

• Support pupils in lessons, small groups, and 1:1 activities
• Assist with the delivery of tailored learning programmes
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
• Help prepare resources and maintain a structured learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs
