Automotive Team LeaderTemporary to permanent opportunity – Solihull basedPay rate:£13.50-£15.00Excellent facilities, free parkingWe are actively recruiting for a time-served Production Team Leader / Supervisor / Line Leader for a leading automotive manufacturing plant, working for a Quality Assurance brand with a global footprint. You will be responsible for a variable shift size of up to 30 operators, carrying out a range of quality inspection and rectification initiatives.You will receive a guaranteed minimum of 80 hours per month but you can expect to receive easily 200 hours per month in line with expectations from existing managers.The Production TL will mainly engage himself/herself into creating work instructions and risk assessments for all projects requested by the customer, within the agreed specifications.Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Create and update work instructions and risk assessments within the customer's specifications.- Understand and execute technical details of the project, i.e., CAD drawings, tolerances specifications, company quality standards and best practices, quality risk assessments.- Issue project estimated expenditure to all customers based on the feasibility test performed prior to accepting the project.- Champion and advocate the 5S standards.- Support to ensure each project is delivered on-time, as budgeted and within scope by the project managers.- Gatekeeper of the KPI tracker and targets,- Support to ensure successful coordination, organisation and execution of quality containment and rework projects to protect the OEM's production.- Coordinate quality control, rework and / or logistics.- Support to ensure each project is delivered on-time, as budgeted and within scope by the team.- Inspect and rework parts when required.- Ensure eQCC is used for data capture for all inspection and rework projects.- Liaise directly with the OEM and Customers / Suppliers (internal and external) as necessary.- Support to ensure Timesheets are accurately delivered 100% on-time.- Be an advocate to ensure unnecessary waste is kept to a minimum.Safety:- Accidents: Support to ensure all accidents are reported on shift.- Accident Prevention: Support to ensure near misses are reported and encourage accident prevention.- Procedures & Reporting: Support to ensure on-site accident procedures are followed.- Support to ensure all inductions are performed on timeCustomer Satisfaction:- Be an advocate for continuous improvement, constantly looking for opportunity to improve all aspects of our service.- Lead by example.- Promote and develop relationships with both internal and external customers.Leadership:- Motivate the team ensuring full engagement in the company and on specific projects to which they are assigned.- Be a mentor to your colleagues.- Support to ensure standard HR processes are followed to document and resolve employee performance and discipline issues.Requirement:- Experienced working with OEM's and Suppliers in the Automotive / Production industry.- Experienced in creating work instructions and risk assessments.- Good working knowledge of Formel D processes and eQCC equipment.- A keen eye for detail.- Good organisational skills.- Good knowledge of MS Office tools.- Good written and oral communication skills.- Motivated, to learn and progressHours of work3 Shift Rotation with possible Weekend requirements 0600-1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600Rate of pay: Between £13.50-£15.00( Shift allowance for unsociable hours)If you are interested in applying for our automotive Team Leader vacancy, please click to apply
