This role requires an expert in materials science with the ability to oversee the development of material and colour technologies, ensuring they are production feasible and process capable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing a comprehensive view of material and colour developments in line with programme gateways.
  • Evolving A surface materials and technologies to the point of concept and application readiness.
  • Focusing on manufacturing technologies within the supply chain and assembly facilities as materials concepts mature.
  • Ensuring production feasibility and capable specifications for both physical and digital assets.
  • Collaborating and partnering with Materiality Designers, suppliers, and engineering departments.
  • Creating and monitoring timing plans and measuring the performance of outputs.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience and knowledge in materials and technologies.
  • Ability to create and monitor timing plans.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of product and automotive design with good aesthetic judgement, colour vision, and colour perception.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • UK driving licence to enable independent travel to supplier and manufacture sites, with potential for overseas travel at short notice.
