- Managing supplier due diligence processes, keeping approved supplier lists and codes current across internal and external systems, and completing approvals for new suppliers
- Overseeing supplier and customer approval databases ensuring data accuracy and compliance with legislation and customer codes of practice
- Conducting supplier risk assessments covering pesticide, microbiological, ethical, integrity, segregation, and food defence (VACCP/TACCP) requirements
- Maintaining product integrity by managing end-to-end documentation, including certificates of inspection, testing results, and risk assessments
- Leading investigations into non-compliance issues, near misses, recalls, and MRL exceedances, producing reports and sharing findings with customers when required
- Closing out audit non-conformances for UK and overseas sites, recording and reviewing outcomes on customer portals, and using trends to drive supplier and product performance improvements
- Reviewing compliance KPIs, prioritising and closing gaps, and chairing supplier approval meetings to track progress, agree next steps, and assign deadlines
- Preparing for and supporting external audits, ensuring all documentation and approvals are in place
- Guiding suppliers on evolving customer requirements for food safety, ethical sourcing, and environmental standards, and ensuring alignment before each season
- Managing due diligence and onboarding assessments for third-party service providers, with regular revalidation of risk assessments for existing partners
- Possess a degree within a related field such as Food Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agriculture or Agronomy
- Have a solid understanding of food safety and quality systems
- Proven experience operating within technical or quality roles specifically within the food manufacturing or fresh produce sector
- Strong communication abilities, both in a verbal and written capacity
- Excellent literacy with computers and systems, including Microsoft Office
- Good organisational skills
