Our client is seeking a diligent and dependable Finance Assistant to join their team in Stratford upon Avon. This role offers an attractive salary range of £25,000 - £27,000. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivable, invoice management, prepayments, accruals, and financial reporting. What you'll do:

As a Finance Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of the company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include generating invoices, tracking payments, processing prepayments, assisting with accruals, performing account reconciliations, and preparing financial reports. You will also support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing processes. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical skills will ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

* Generate and issue invoices to customers on an ad-hoc basis ensuring accuracy and timeliness.* Monitor and track outstanding invoices, ensuring prompt collection of payments.* Process and record prepayments accurately in the financial system.* Assist in the identification and recording of accrivals at month-end.* Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable, bank, prepayment and accrual accounts.* Assist in preparing reports on accounts receivable status and aging.* Support the finance team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.* Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.

What you bring:

Your strong numerical skills coupled with your analytical mindset enable you to solve problems with ease. You excel in using Microsoft Excel and other accounting software to turn data into actionable insights. Your impeccable attention to detail and organisational prowess ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. You thrive both when working independently and when collaborating within a dynamic team. Your effective communication skills allow you to convey information clearly and confidently. A proactive approach means you're always ready to tackle challenges head-on. Relevant finance or accounting qualifications, while not mandatory, would be a plus.
