Led by a strong leadership team, they're now looking to bring all design work in-house and are hiring a Head of Design to take the lead.In this role, you'll work closely with the Operations Director and Design Engineer to deliver high-quality telecoms network designs, while setting up the systems, templates, and QA processes that will shape the future of the department. You'll be hands-on at the start, managing your own output as well as reviewing and improving others', with the freedom to build out the team as demand grows.The ideal candidate will be an experienced Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer from a telecoms background (FTTP, wireless, civils, or utilities), confident with both technical design and client-facing work. You'll need to be comfortable in a start-up setting, bringing structure to a fast-paced and evolving environment.This is a brilliant opportunity for someone hungry to take ownership, create something from the ground up, and play a vital role in the company's long-term success - all with the flexibility and trust that comes with senior-level autonomy.The Role:

• Build and lead the in-house telecoms design function
• Deliver and review detailed technical drawings for fibre/network infrastructure projects
• Create CAD libraries, templates, QA processes, and drawing standards
• Work closely with the Operations Director to align design with client needs
• Play a lead role in shaping future design hires and the long-term technical structure
• Remote working with occasional visits to Stratford-upon-Avon

The Person:

• Experienced in telecoms design (FTTP, fibre, wireless, or civils/utilities)
• Design Manager, Senior Design Engineer, or similar background
• Confident producing, reviewing, and owning technical output
• Comfortable being client-facing and communicating technical detail
• Ambitious, hands-on, and excited by the opportunity to build something new
