GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Senior Planner to our Public Sector client based in Stratford-upon-Avon. The Senior Planner will work within the Planning Performance, Appeals and Enforcement Team for our client assessing identified breaches of planning control.

Main Duties of the Senior Planner:

* Conduct planning assessments where breaches of planning control have been identified.
* Meet daily with Enforcement Officers to identify where cases need further investigation or where formal enforcement action is required.
* Provide support to the Enforcement Officers, offering guidance where needed on their case work.
* Assist the Planning Manager with drafting and issuing of formal notices.
* Present enforcement case referrals to the Regulatory Committee and prepare written evidence and represent the organisation at Court Hearings


Role Requirements:
* Experience working within a planning enforcement team for a local Council.
* Fully chartered membership of RTPI or actively working towards
* Experience acting as a witness on behalf of an organisation either in Court, at informal hearings, or at public inquiries.
* Strong knowledge of planning legislation guidance, procedures, and enforcement powers
* Full clean driving licence and the ability to undertake rural site visits.
