We are recruiting for an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to join a property services team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in identifying, assessing, and advising on damp, condensation, and mould issues across our housing stock. This is a key position focused on improving living conditions, ensuring tenant safety, and supporting our commitment to maintaining high-quality homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough surveys of residential properties to identify damp, condensation, and mould issues.
  • Diagnose root causes and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive survey reports.
  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate inspection appointments and follow-up actions.
  • Provide expert advice on preventative measures and long-term solutions.
  • Monitor progress of remedial works and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to data analysis for future planning.
  • Support the organisation’s compliance with relevant regulations and health & safety standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in property surveying, building pathology, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of damp, condensation, and mould diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly with vulnerable residents.
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical reports.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between properties.
  • Relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Building Studies, CSRT/CSTDB) is desirable but not essential.
