Our client, a specialist accountancy, tax and business advisory firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior to join their small friendly team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a growing practice with a good reputation for high-quality personal service and a family friendly feel. The ideal individual will have strong people skills, an outgoing personality and will work well in a small friendly team environment and happy to work in an office on their own.   
 

  • Up to £35,000 pro-rata

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts, VAT returns, tax computations from client records, for; sole traders, partnership and limited companies
  • Assisting clients with their financial record keeping
  • Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, capital gains tax computations, IHT
  • Excellent customer service and being the day-to-day point of contact for clients
  • Liaising with clients including on-site visits when required
  • Possibility to participate in networking and business development along with supporting at training events


Skills and experience required:

  •  ACCA / ACA full or part qualified OR AAT qualified with a solid knowledge of accounting standards
  • Previous experience of working within a practice environment at an Accounts Semi Senior level is essential
  • Experience of business within the agricultural and rural sector is desirable
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP’s)
  • Experience with accounting software CCH and cloud accounting software
  • Confident, friendly, and self-motivated as you will be required to work on your own sometimes
