Job Role – Senior Design Engineer

Reporting the Head of Design the Senior Design Engineer shall design and detail systems for aircraft to meet customer requirements whilst supporting the entire systems life cycle.

Duties – Senior Design Engineer

• Concept to detail design throughout the life cycle of company products.
• Support all aspects of product configuration.
• Use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) programmes and supporting systems (data management systems).
• Designing to meet exacting customer requirements and industry standards.
• Technical presentations to customers.
• Worling closely with internal stakeholders including team members, chief engineers, programme management, manufacturing and other company sites.
• Working closely with manufacturing to reduce non-conformances on products.
• Liaise with other sites to assist with the offload of packages of work.
• Mentoring/ coaching of junior team members.

Experience/Qualifications – Senior Design Engineer

• Degree qualification in relevant engineering discipline
• Experience in Computer Aided Design (CATIA V5 preferred)
• GD&T Training

Candidates who are currently a Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Principal Engineer, Chief Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Development Engineer, R&D Engineer, NPI Engineer, Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager could be suitable for this role.
