Summary:

Our client, a leading green energy supplier, is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow their Public Sector TPI channel. As the Business Development Manager, you'll identify new opportunities, drive new business and manage a portfolio of TPIs,. You'll collaborate with internal teams to ensure commercial viability and excellent service, while also helping to shape B2B strategy alongside developing relationships with energy consultants, brokers, and intermediaries. Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:

  • Meet B2B sales targets and grow the Public Sector TPI portfolio
  • Build strong relationships with partners and deliver excellent customer service
  • Identify and secure new framework agreements
  • Provide Gas and Power contract quotations from tender to acceptance
  • Support new business pitches and client onboarding
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote products and services
  • Attend client meetings and industry events
  • Cross-sell new products and services
  • Maintain accurate reporting and work to KPIs

Skills and Experience required for the Business Development Manager:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with Public Sector clients
  • Experience in the energy or utilities industry (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, including stakeholder engagement at senior level
  • Confident presenting at events and managing external client meetings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
  • Full, clean drivers licence
