Our client, is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves supporting the Principal/Technical Lead with various structural tasks. The position is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced structures engineer or a junior engineer looking to grow and expand their knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scoping work and determining project requirements
- Checking and reviewing design submissions for structural integrity
- Assisting with audits to ensure compliance with regulations
- Answering construction technical queries (TQs)
- Collaborating closely with the Principal/Technical Lead and other team members
- Ensuring all tasks meet the necessary safety and quality standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience in structural engineering, particularly within bridge and highway projects
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and methodologies
- Ability to evaluate and review technical design submissions
- Proficiency in addressing and resolving technical queries
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification is desirable
