The business has been providing legal services to the people of Gloucestershire for over 260 years. They specialise in a vast range of personal and commercial law. Role OverviewThis is a great opportunity to lead the department, manage complex transactional work, and develop strong client relationships. You’ll also help steer the growth of the team, mentor junior lawyers, and play a key role in their business development efforts. Targeted as a growth area for the business, they are seeking a senior Commercial Solicitor to undertake company commercial work including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring etc. Excellent opportunity to gain skills and experience and contribute to the development of a long-established, forward-thinking, and expanding firm. Demonstrate experience of strategic marketing and networking bringing new high quality clients to the firm. Commercially aware and willing to really put the client first. The role will also involve active participation in the firm’s marketing, article drafting, PR, business development, social media and networking activities, as appropriate.Requirements•    Qualified Senior Solicitor/Associate with at least 4-5 years relevant experience •    Proven experience in leadership and business development skills to enable further growth within the department•    Strong technical background and commercially aware with a proven background in all aspects of company commercial law including buying and selling businesses•    Demonstrate understanding of the preparation of sale and purchase agreements and other technically demanding documents•    Good working knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and contract law•    Ability and willingness to learn and manage workload in an efficient and organised manner and meet clients’ demanding requirements•    Enthusiastic and have an excellent balance between technical ability and commercial awareness•    Ambitious and dynamic with excellent communication skills.What They Offer
