Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate processes involved in propeller overhauls
  • Disassemble and clean propellers for inspection
  • Conduct visual inspections for wear and damage
  • Measure parts accurately to ensure compliance
  • Identify new parts required for rebuilding propellers
  • Perform zinc-nickel plating as needed
  • Overhaul propeller blades, including sanding, frequency checks, and static balancing
  • Assemble propellers and maintain accurate paperwork records
  • Supervise assistants and ensure a tidy workshop

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Practical hands-on engineering skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical data, manuals, and specifications
  • Experience with measurement tools such as verniers, micrometres, and height gauges
  • Motivated and ambitious, eager to contribute to a growing team
  • Interest in heritage engineering is a plus

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in the aerospace sector is advantageous, though not required

Technologies:

  • Proficiency with inspection gauges and engineering tools
  • Familiarity with propeller maintenance and overhaul processes
