An outstanding grammar school located in the scenic Stroud area is looking to appoint a creative and versatile Art & Photography Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to teach motivated students in a school that values independent thought, creative confidence, and visual literacy.

The department is well-equipped with studio space, digital photography equipment, and an emphasis on contemporary as well as traditional art practices.

Job Scope:

  • Deliver high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, incorporating both traditional and digital media.

  • Teach photography (GCSE and/or A-Level), encouraging creative risk-taking and conceptual exploration.

  • Plan and assess coursework in line with departmental schemes.

  • Organise student exhibitions and participate in local/national competitions.

  • Collaborate on arts initiatives and enrichment programmes within the school community.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree-qualified teacher of Art and/or Photography, ideally with QTS or PGCE.

  • Passionate about contemporary art and able to bring technical and conceptual rigour to lessons.

  • Experience teaching A-Level Photography or willingness to be trained in this specialism.

  • A collaborative team player committed to the creative life of the school.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
