Elevate projects are working in pertnerhsip with our client, a local social landlord and not for profit developer, to appoint an experieced generic housing officer to join the busy neighbourhoods team on an initial 6 month contract basis.

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting residents across a mixed tenure portfolio, including general needs and temporary accommodation. You will be responsible for tenancy and estate management, providing support to tenants, and ensuring neighbourhoods remain safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of tenancies, ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements and housing policies
  • Respond to and resolve tenant queries, complaints, and issues
  • Conduct home visits, tenancy audits, and property inspections
  • Support residents with issues around rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and safeguarding concerns
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective support services
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using the housing management system
  • Ensure prompt follow-up and action on all tenancy-related issues

About You

  • Experience in a housing role or similar customer-facing environment
  • Strong understanding of tenancy management, housing regulations, and good practice
  • Confident communicator with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and manage a varied workload under pressure
  • Proficient in IT systems and housing management software
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
