Overview of the role:

We are looking to recruit a Parks Development Officer to support the day-to-day delivery of the Councils greenspaces services.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Liaise and manage relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Develop service strategies and improvement plans.
  • Manage and maintain accurate data records.
  • Act as the lead officer for Stewardship applications and oversee ongoing contract management.
  • Support open space needs assessments through planning, consultation, and review processes.
  • Implement recommendations from the Leisure and Culture Strategy.
  • Provide feedback to the Planning Team on matters related to landscape, ecology, habitat, and biodiversity.
  • Coordinate and deliver the Green Flag Award programme in collaboration with team colleagues.
  • Lead on the marketing and promotion of services.
  • Enhance facilities within parks and open spaces to increase public usage and satisfaction.
