Transport Planner (Heavy Haulage) | Warwickshire| Competitive Salary up to 40-50k

Are you an experienced Transport Planner with a background in heavy haulage? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support the planning and execution of complex transport operations, ensuring compliance with STGO regulations and delivering exceptional service to customers.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling a cost-effective heavy haulage transport fleet.

  • Prepare and submit STGO Category 3 route notifications, liaising with local authorities and structural owners to ensure safe and efficient routes.

  • Coordinate with police forces to arrange cost-effective abnormal load escorts.

  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to optimise fleet utilisation and reschedule work as needed.

  • Brief and support heavy haulage and escort drivers, ensuring clear communication of job requirements.

  • Oversee vehicle maintenance scheduling in coordination with workshops.

  • Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis for live projects.

  • Maintain transport management system records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.



What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling a multi-vehicle fleet.

  • Strong knowledge of abnormal load route notifications and STGO regulations.

  • IT proficiency and experience with transport planning software.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.



Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • OLAT Training or Transport Manager CPC.

  • Familiarity with technical drawings.

  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths & English.
