Job Purpose

To clean all relevant areas: Offices, Blending, Warehouse, Production Hall, Yard and Outside Perimeter.

Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as mopping, sweeping, dusting.

Ensure that all areas are cared for and inspected according to the company standards

Duties / Responsibilities

  • All Staff facilities to be cleaned to an excellent standard  : Toilets, Canteen, Walkways, Machinery, Reception, Laboratory , Lockers Rooms, Smoking areas, yard etc
  • Collect and dispose of rubbish
  • Organise and keep tidy storage areas
  • Make sure cleaning schedules are updated on a daily basis
  • Create cleaning solutions with the appropriate labels
  • Check stock levels of all consumables and give the list of requirements to HR
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
  • Adhere strictly to rules and regulations of Health & Safety and be aware of company related practices
  • Notify Engineering Department/Manager of any damages or defects
  • Safe use of chemicals making sure that they are handled as per company procedure
  • Ability to manage your time effectively
  • Flexibility in hours to cover other shifts
  • Clear communication at all times

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Take reasonable care of the Health and Safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions.
  • Work in a safe manner and observe the Company Health and Safety Rules and Procedures.
  • Use/Drive machinery in a safe manner, observing rules and procedures.
  • Report to your Line Manager any incidents that have led to or could have led to injury or an accident or have affected the environment.
  • Report all injuries promptly reported to yourself at work and obtain the necessary first aid treatment.
  • Cooperate with Managers and other personnel of the Company to achieve a healthy and safe workplace environment.
  • Help in the investigation of accidents in order to prevent recurrence.
  • Observe the Company personal hygiene requirements.
  • Set an example of safe, correct behaviour
  • Report any hazard/defect you may observe promptly to your immediate Line Manager.
  • Report any shortcomings in systems of work or procedures to your Line Manager.
  • To comply with safe systems of work at all times.
