A well-established joinery company on the outskirts of Sudbury, Suffolk are recruiting for a Cabinet Maker to join their team.
This position is paying between 34,000 - 39,300 per annum, depending on experience. This will lead to a permanent role after the successful 3-month probation period.
Overview of the role:
As a cabinet maker, you will be expected to work collaboratively within a team of 16 staff, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and report daily to the workshop supervisor.
Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm with an early finish on Friday
Duties include:
- Using spindle moulders, tenoning machines, edge banders, speed sanding machines, crosscut saws plus much more
- Reporting stock levels to line manager
- Accurately record jobs on time sheets
- To produce kitchens and other high-end bespoke products from timber
- Ensure work is quality control checked to the required standard
- Utilise the correct machinery for the job and operate to safety guidelines
- Interpret drawings/job sheets & cutting lists
Candidate requirements:
- Ability to work individually and within a team
- Competent to read from technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Apprenticeship, NVQ or Diploma in furniture/cabinet making or joinery is required
- Proficient user of wood working machinery, hand tools & power tools
