About the Role
I am recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of residential care for children and young people who is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Home Manager to join their well-established team in Sudbury.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or current Deputy Manager who is looking for their next career move within a supportive and progressive environment.
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role within a welcoming and knowledgeable team, working collaboratively across a small region of children's homes. You will be encouraged to use your creativity, share ideas, and influence positive change within a respected, national organisation that truly values innovation and development.
Key Responsibilities
路Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
路Lead, motivate, and supervise the care team to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
路Promote a therapeutic approach to care, supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
路Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards.
路Manage rotas, budgets, and administrative duties effectively.
路Contribute to staff training, development, and performance reviews.
路Step up to manage the home in the Registered Manager's absence.
Requirements
路Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Residential Children's Home at Senior or Deputy level.
路Hold NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People (or equivalent).
路Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
路Experience in managing staff rotas and budgets.
路Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
