Job Title: Excavation Banksman
Location: Bexhill, East Sussex
Start Date: Tuesday 27th May
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Excavation Banksman to join our team on a construction site based in Bexhill. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong understanding of site safety and excavation operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a dedicated banksman for excavation and groundworks operations

Guide plant operators and ensure safe movement of vehicles and machinery on site
-
Maintain safe exclusion zones around excavations and heavy plant
-
Conduct daily safety checks and report any hazards or near misses
-
Ensure clear communication between machine operators and ground staff
-
Follow all health & safety procedures and site rules
Requirements:
-
Previous experience as a Banksman on excavation or groundwork projects
-
Valid CPCS, NPORS or other relevant qualification/certification
-
CSCS Card
-
Good understanding of site health & safety protocols
-
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
-
Physically fit and prepared for outdoor work in all weather
Desirable:
-
Confined space or deep excavation awareness training
-
First Aid or other relevant site safety certifications
