- Manage the end-to-end export process, from booking shipments to preparing and checking all necessary export documentation.
- Advise clients on customs requirements, international regulations, and best practices for global freight movements.
- Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and overseas agents to ensure timely and compliant cargo movements.
- Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other related documents.
- Monitor and track shipments, proactively addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations, export controls, and industry standards.
- Work collaboratively within a small, supportive team, sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues as required.
- Support operational efficiency by contributing to process improvements and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Occasionally assist with manual tasks such as checking or labelling cargo, overseeing loading/unloading, or conducting warehouse inspections when operationally necessary.
- Significant experience in international freight forwarding exports, ideally within a small or medium-sized business.
- In-depth understanding of customs regulations, Incoterms, compliance issues, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Effective communicator, comfortable working closely with clients, carriers, and team members.
- Flexible and willing to assist with hands-on operations as needed.
- Positive attitude and a genuine team player, ready to contribute to a supportive working environment.
- IT literate, with experience in freight software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or international trade.

- Forklift or warehouse certification (advantageous, but not essential).
