Due to continued growth and internal progression, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Production Manager to support and help lead our dynamic manufacturing team at their headquarters.


As Deputy Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of daily production operations. You will work closely with the Production Manager to oversee manufacturing processes, manage production schedules, improve efficiency, and ensure health and safety standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities as a Deputy Production Manager:

  • Support the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing operations
  • Lead and supervise production teams to meet daily output targets and quality standards
  • Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity
  • Assist in resource planning, including labour, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Analyse production data and generate reports for senior management
  • Act as the point of contact in the Production Manager’s absence

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Good understanding of health and safety standards
