Our client is part of substantial privately-owned group with a global presence, market leader in its field and with a reputation for operational excellence.  Operating in the construction projects service sector the company serves a blue chip customer base, and is a go to supplier for large scale capital projects.  Reporting to the Managing Director the role is broad, being a key part of the senior management team. As such, the role is office based.  You will be responsible for all aspects of finance, IT, HR and administration and the management of a small office-based team.  There will be a very close working relationship with the Managing and Contracts Directors, resulting in significant exposure to the commercial aspects on a day to day basis.  At a detailed level this will include  Financial reporting, both month end and annual returnsForecasting and budgetingLiaison with professional advisersTreasury and TaxCommercial review and profitability analysisHR and payrollIT  Potential candidates should ideally have experience beyond pure accounting, and need not necessarily be fully qualified.  Good technical accounting skills are taken as given, and a robust personality is required at times in the customer operating environment. Good communication skills will be another given, coupled with a pragmatic down to earth approach.  The successful individual will be joining a well-managed and profitable business that has a high profile in its field, and will provide a platform for personal and career growth upon becoming embedded in the business.  It is envisaged that the basic salary will be in the £55,000 to £70,000 range plus discretionary bonus and 5% matched pension.
