Fabricator/Plater

Location: Sunderland
Pay Rate: £16.64 per hour (£14.64+ £20 per night shift allowance) OR £21.41 CIS per hour 
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9pm start, 10-hour shifts

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an excavator bucket manufacturer who are looking to add skilled Platers/Fabricators to their night shift team.

The Role

• Fabricating and plating heavy steel plate for excavator buckets.

• Working from engineering drawings to assemble and tack components.

• Using a variety of fabrication techniques including cutting, grinding and marking out.

• Ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout production.

What We’re Looking For

• Time-served plater/fabricator with heavy industry experience.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Competent with fabrication hand tools and machinery.

• Reliable, hardworking and able to work nights on a permanent basis.
