Job Summary:This role involves leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud and infrastructure services with a focus on efficiency, reliability, security, and performance. The position includes managing cloud environments, network topologies, firewalls, and security platforms. It also involves mentoring colleagues, supporting internal and external users, and contributing to 3rd line technical support while ensuring high standards of customer service and incident resolution.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage public cloud infrastructure including provisioning, configuration, and security

  • Implement monitoring tools to optimise performance and user experience

  • Ensure system reliability and availability with proactive monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery planning

  • Respond to and resolve incidents with root cause analysis and preventive actions

  • Implement security best practices and maintain industry compliance

  • Contribute to business continuity via disaster recovery planning

  • Automate routine tasks using scripting, configuration policies, and infrastructure as code

  • Support cross-functional teams and document technical configurations and processes

  • Optimise cloud usage costs without compromising performance

  • Propose continuous improvements to systems, processes, and services

  • Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired firms and partners

  • Provide quality 3rd line technical support as an escalation point

  • Record issues and solutions accurately in helpdesk systems

  • Manage workload independently; remote work and occasional out-of-hours work required

  • Execute authorised changes under change management procedures

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships

  • Mentor internal and external users in technical knowledge

Job Requirements:
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role

  • Full UK driving licence and transport with business insurance

  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

  • ITIL awareness

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with:

    • Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office

    • Windows Server 2016/2022 and associated services (DHCP, DNS, DFS, etc.)

    • Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Group Policy

    • Office 365 (support, migrations, administration)

    • Microsoft SQL Server and IIS

    • Network topology and diagnostics (VLANs, routing, STP, etc.)

    • Firewall configuration and cybersecurity best practices

    • Microsoft Azure (VMs, VNETs, AVD, etc.)

    • SharePoint administration

    • Anti-virus and endpoint protection platforms

    • Microsoft Intune and vulnerability management

    • Veeam backup and restore

    • Security best practices

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator

  • Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
