Assistant/Trainee Health and Safety Consultant - Sunderland, Tyne and Wear - competitive salary dependent on experience - fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified Health and Safety professional to train and develop within an established and expanding health and safety consultancy, working on varied construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- To carry out the role of Assistant Health and Safety Consultant, and be responsible for assisting with service delivery from inception to completion, with support from senior staff
- Provide support for the quality / delivery of the product / service whilst ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed to ensure our obligations are contractually and professionally completed
- Contribute to the profitability of the business, both as an individual and in terms of the office as a whole
- Comply with Code of Conduct
- Internal and external CPD to develop the wider knowledge and understanding
Qualifications/experience desired:-
- Either NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate,
- Excellent client facing skills
- Some knowledge of all aspects of Construction Health and Safety, including statutory compliance, the Construction, Design and Management regulations, the Building Safety Act, and other risk and hazard identification standards and procedures akin to the services offered and delivered by the organisation
- Confidence in the use of all Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and be able to prepare and analyse detailed reports, spreadsheets & presentations.
- Demonstrated self-motivation, and able to work with minimum supervision
- Well organised and a methodical approach to completing tasks
- Ability to prioritise
- Customer focused on reaching solutions to issues
