We are working alongside an established M&E contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team in the Tyne & Wear area.
They have been established for over 40 years and have provided building services contracting from design and building to traditional projects to clients in both the private and public sectors. They have a long serving management team adept at planning, developing, costing and delivering projects on all scales from small works up to multi-million-pound university colleges and pharmaceutical plants.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical building services projects
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
- Responsible for analysing project specifications, obtaining pricing from suppliers, and ensuring all costs are accounted for in tender submissions
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and managing the tender process
- Maintaining accurate records of assumptions, quotations, and supplier communications
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation to support estimates and tender submissions
