Hgv 1 Driver

Trinity Business Support are currently looking a HGV 1 shunter driver for our Washington based client.

Due to an increase in business, our client now require additional staff member to join their ever-growing team in January.

Our client is a worldwide leader in the parts industry who supply various automotive manufacturers.

Start date is Monday 5th January 2026

Duties will include:

• Shunting trailers between two sites
• Using tug and tractor units to place trailers on docks and within warehouse locations
• Following site guidelines and policies
• Securing loads for transit
• Completing company paperwork
• You will undertake a two-week training, working with the driver trainer to learn all the fundamentals of the role

Hours of Work:

• Rotating days and backshift (workers must be willing to be flexible with shift changes)
• Days 06.30-15.00 / Backs 16.00 - 23.30 flexibility
• The first two weeks whilst training will be on dayshift
• Ongoing work (no end date. The current workforce have been on-site for over five months)

Pay:

• 16.00ph Monday to Friday
• Working week is around 40hrs but you will be paid a guaranteed 45hrs (720) per week minimum
• Odd Saturdays (only on dayshift) may be required - overtime paid at 24.00ph

Additional Information:

• New passes accepted - pending a driver assessment being passed
• All applicants will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test
• This is an ongoing agency role with some workers having been on-site for over five months now
• Full-times roles are not advertised and when available are offered to our rotated agency workers first and foremost
