As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our staff are paid accurately and on time. Working within a payroll team, you will be responsible for processing payroll data, maintaining employee records, and supporting month-end reporting.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all employees
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g. tax, NI, pensions)
  • Update and maintain employee payroll records with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Respond to payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with third parties such as HMRC and pension providers
  • Support audit and reconciliation processes as required
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a payroll role (preferably within the education sector or a similar environment)
  • Familiarity with payroll systems
  • Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A team player who can also work independently
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and best practices
  • Experience with education sector payroll processes or systems
