Location:Hybrid Working (Sunderland HQ)

My client is a rapidly growing FTSE-listed international organisation, who we are supporting with their exciting growth plans across a number of key areas, including a very well-established software solution aimed at the Professional Services sector, which they already deliver to 1,000+ customers across 150 countries.

Key to their growth plans is appointing a Business Development Manager, ideally from a software background, with a mandate to increase their UK client portfolio across a number of sectors.

The Role

  • Identifying and concluding new sales opportunities across the UK
  • Developing and nurturing your own leads
  • Uncover clients business challenges and identify relevant business opportunities
  • Managing the sales process end-to-end, including software demonstrations and commercial negotiations
  • Providing first class customer-focused approach
  • Attending conferences and networking events as and when required to support the needs of the business
  • Efficiently and effectively process assigned opportunities into sales
  • Manage your own pipeline and all work activities, maintaining accurate information and up-to-date forecasts on all prospects
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

The Person

  • Exceptional track record of acquiring new business both SME and enterprise
  • Ideally from a software background, with demonstratable success in hunting new business
  • Experience of using a consultative, solution-based methodology when engaging with prospective clients
  • Experience of using a consultative, solution-based sales methodology
  • Ability to develop trust and relationships with prospects, customers, and colleagues
  • Excellent telephone, online and face-to-face presentation skills
  • Ambitious to develop their career further within the organisation
