Job Title: Stores Person
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, company pension, on-site parking, and long-term progression opportunities.
Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-1pm
Start Date: Immediate
Job Description:
The Stores Person will play a key part in supporting shipping, dispatch, and goods inward activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Receiving, checking, and locating new stock on racking.
- Operating banding and packing machines.
- Unloading deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Using internal systems (JDE or similar ERP).
- Supporting general administration such as scanning and filing.
You’ll thrive as a Stores Person if you’re methodical, reliable, and enjoy a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Experience:
- FLT Counterbalance licence (essential).
- Sling and lifting certificate.
- Experience using electric pallet trucks.
- NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing (desirable).
- IT literate, organised, and adaptable.
