Job Overview

We have anopportunityfor a Cleaning Operativeto jointhe team based atourParagon Customer Communications Sunderland site.The site specialises in production of inbound and outbound document services and contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability.

We are seeking an experienced and committed Cleaner, on a part-time basis, to be responsible for ensuring a high level service is providedto create a clean and safe envrionment for all employees across the office and production areas.

Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 12pm - 5pm

Salary: 15,873 (12.21 per hour)

Key Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
  • Clean and sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
  • Clean kitchens/break rooms: counters, sinks, appliances
  • Empty bins; replace liners
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
  • Ensure walkways and emergency exits are clear and safe
  • Follow cleaning schedules and checklists
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management
  • Adhere to company safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Monitoring of stock levels

Skills and Attributes we are looking for

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred (warehouse/office)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
  • As this is a physical job, this does include manual handling, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
