Maintenance Operative Position Available
A reputable and sought after leisure site is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative to join their team.
This full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, 5 days in any 7, involves ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the facilities.
The Maintenance Operative will be responsible for maintaining the building, machinery, and systems to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
Key duties include:
- Building Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the building and control areas, including machinery, lighting, electrical appliances, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Pool Plant Equipment: Conduct regular checks and maintenance, including water testing, meter readings, and ensuring pool plant operations are safe and clean.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance checks, prioritise issues, and update system logs
- Redecoration and Refurbishment: Assist in the redecoration and refurbishment of the site as needed.
- Deliveries: Handle the receipt, stocking, and supply of deliveries, including loading and unloading.
- Security: Ensure the security of the building and its contents, focusing on alarms, locks, and fire safety equipment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all work carried out on site equipment.
- Shift Support: Support various shifts and weekend work as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Candidates should have experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a similar environment.
- Ideal qualifications include a Pool Plant Operators Qualification and electrical trade skills, though these are not essential.
- General DIY skills and basic computing skills in Excel & Word are required.
- The role demands high levels of attention to detail, methodical thinking, good communication skills, physical fitness, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A self-motivated attitude and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
