Teaching Assistant - Surbiton - Immediate Start
Location: Surbiton
Hours: 8:30am - 3:45pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
DBS: Ideally on the Update Service or willing to process one

We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Surbiton on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.

This role will involve a mix of general classroom support as well as providing additional help to pupils with special educational needs (SEND). The school is proud of its supportive ethos and strong leadership, making it a fantastic environment to grow your experience in education.

Role responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with children with additional learning needs

  • Helping to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for all learners

  • Supporting children with EHCPs and contributing to their progress and wellbeing

  • Building positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, adaptable, and passionate about working with children

  • Confident working with children with a variety of learning needs

  • Able to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff

  • Available five days per week, from 8:30am to 3:45pm

  • Holding a DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
