Description
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to production processes.
- Monitor production performance and suggest improvements to achieve operational goals.
- Support the introduction of new equipment and technologies into the manufacturing environment.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, including process instructions and reports.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all manufacturing activities.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes and equipment.
Profile
A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- A strong background in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Project Management Skills/ experience
- Experience of lean manufacturing processes (Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products
- Experience of AutoCAD
- Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector, particularly within a production environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
