Finance Manager

Robertson Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company based in NG17 as they look for a finance manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The candidate would oversee the financial operations of the company reporting in with the managing director. This is a very hands on role where you will have to work independently and proactively.

Working hours

Monday to Friday

07:30am - 4:30pm

1 hour lunch break

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day financial activities, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, invoicing, payments, and payroll.
  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Liaise with UK external accountants for finalising year-end accounts.
  • Take initiative to identify areas for financial improvement and risk reduction.
  • Provide regular financial updates and insights directly to the Managing Director.

Required skills

  • Bachelors degree or qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 35+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Odoo (advantageous)
  • Highly proactive, confident, and capable of using initiative in decision-making
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax, and year-end procedures.
